I grew up in Schänis  SG, Switzerland.

After finishing my Apprenticeship as a Polymechaniker and attending the SVBF school in Zurich, I moved to the USA with a J-1 Visa in 1971.  I lived and worked in the Detroit area from 1971 till 1977 when we moved to Wisconsin.

Worked as a Plant Manager of a manufacturing facility producing mainly automotive components from 1977 until 2014 and retired in June 2020.

In February 1986 I became a US Citizen and have now dual Citizenship.

Married to Jan Egli – Abram since September 1974. We have 3 grown Children, all married living in Wisconsin, California and Colorado.

Living about one hour from New Glarus WI, we spend time there to eat Swiss Food and shop for “Wurst” und “Brot” and for all special Swiss related activities. Spending time in New Glarus gives me also the opportunity to speak Swiss German with the folks there that still speak it, because they grew up there or learned it from their Relatives. New Glarus is also the home of the Swiss Center of North America with lots of resources for possible support to the ASR.
