DESCRIPTION:We are organizing an event in Ann Arbor with a performance by students of the University of Michigan Dance Department and community members. This performance is choreographed and created by Ladina Schaller who is from Fribourg\, Switzerland and who is a senior double majoring in Dance and Molecular Biology.\n\n\nThis event will take place outdoors in the Nichols Arboretum on April 18 at 2pm and at 5:30pm. Find more details for the event and a sign-up link below.\n\n\nIf there’s enough interest\, we could organize an early dinner around 3:30 that people attending either performance could join.\n\n\nPlease sign up and join us for this extraordinary event and support Ladina in particular. SUMMARY:2026 Annual Meeting with Brunch at the Swedish Club
DESCRIPTION:  \nANNUAL MEETING / SWISS BRUNCH ON Saturday MAY 9th 10 to 1 at the Swedish Club in Farmington Hills \nThe DSS Annual Meeting will start at 10 AM with a brief review of club business\, including financials\, board elections and an outlook on planned activities for 2026.  We are looking for additional board members (webmaster\, event coordinator\, wherever you would like to help).  Please indicate your interest via email to detroitswiss@gmail.com \nThe meeting will be followed by the main event – a delicious Swiss style brunch with many Swiss favorites. \nThe same event was a huge success last year and we hope to have a full house again this year. \nKids are welcome and will enjoy special breakfast treats and games. \nThe event is FREE to members and their children.   Guests $15 \nTo help us prepare properly\, please purchase tickets – even the free ones – HERE \n  \nIf you have not renewed your membership for 2026\, you can do that HERE \nThank you! \nLooking forward to seeing everybody. \n  \nThe DSS Board currently has the following members: Thomas Lozser\, President – – Shelly Burnside\, Treasurer – – Sylvia LaPratt\, Correspondence – – Urs Böckli\, Member at Large\nAll board members have agreed to serve another year.  You can learn more about the current board members on our website. \nWe have at least two open positions on the board: Web Master and Event Coordination.  We are also looking to add one Trustees.\nIf you would like to become a member of the board or a trustee – or have questions about these positions\, please email to detroitswiss.com.  We would welcome your support.  We get along and have fun – it does not take that much time and we hold most of our meetings on-line.
